Steam or boil carrots until tender, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare glaze: combine jam, orange zest, and mustard in a small pot or skillet. Cook on medium heat setting until jam has melted, about 2 minutes.
Toss hot, cooked carrots with glaze. Salt to taste.
Serve immediately.
