Ingredients

Sugared Tunip

  • 1 medium-sized turnip
  • salt
  • 1 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1½ to 2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar

Sugared Turnip Directions

Remove wax and any green pulpy parts from the turnip. Cut it into 1-inch cubes and boil in lightly salted water until tender, about 45 minutes.

Drain water. Mash turnip until lumps are gone. Add butter and brown sugar, and mix until butter is melted and sugar is fully blended into turnip.

Serve warm.
