Pecans and chocolate!

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Beat in egg.
In another bowl, mix oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture with chocolate chips and pecans until well blended (the mixture will be stiff)
Scoop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls. Make golf ball-size rounds, and place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Press slightly with fingers. (Cover remaining dough in bowl with waxpaper so it doesn't dry out)
Bake in 375°F oven for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven. Place cookies on cooling rack. Cookies will harden when they cool.
