This side dish was served at many Christmas dinners by my mother-in-law, Gert Clayton. It's true comfort food any time of year!

Broccoli-rice Casserole

  • 2 cup(s) frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 - 284ml/10oz. tin cream of chicken soup
  • ½ tin of milk
  • 4 tablespoon(s) Cheez Whiz
  • 1½ cup(s) cooked rice

Broccoli-rice Casserole Directions

In a large frypan, fry the broccoli and onion on medium heat until tender. Break up broccoli as it cooks.

Add cream of chicken soup, milk, cheez whiz and cooked rice, and mix well.

Fold into a lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
