Recipe

  • About 1 lb. fresh aspargus
  • aluminum foil
  • 2 tablespoon(s) water
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon(s) grated parmesan cheese

Steamed Asparagus Directions

Clean asparagus and remove tough ends.

Cut a 12"x15" piece of foil. Place asparagus on top of foil and fold two shorter ends together, overlapping slighly. Fold and pinch one long end of foil. Add water to other end and fold closed.

Place foil package directly on grill of medium hot barbecue and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until desired tenderness. Remove from heat.

Place on serving plate. Sprinkle with a dash of pepper and parmesan cheese.

Serve hot.

Recipe notes

If cooked too soon, the asparagus will stay warm in the foil for up to 10 minutes.
