This recipe makes 4 servings but can be easily altered.
For 4 Serving(s)
Bring water to a boil in a medium-size pot. Add rice. Cover, bring to a boil, and simmer for 45 to 50 minutes.
Remove pot from heat and let rice stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Do not lift lid.
Serve.
To alter number of servings: basic recipe is 2 parts water to 1 part rice, a 2/1 ratio. For 6 servings, use 3 cups water and 1½ cups rice.
