- 2/3 cup(s) shortening
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup(s) white sugar
- 1 cup(s) brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 3 1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 1/2 cup(s) pure semi-sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate Chip Cookies Directions
In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mix shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
Mix together dry ingredients and add them to the shortening mixture. Blend well with fork or large spoon. Mix in chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in 375°F oven until light brown.
Remove from baking sheet and place on cooling rack.
